If you’ve got an Amazon Prime account, connecting it to your Twitch account gives you Twitch Prime, a premium account for your favorite streaming platform. This free-with-Amazon Prime connection gives you some great bonuses, so to help you make the most of both accounts, we’re going to walk you through how to link Twitch and Amazon in a step-by-step walk-through.

Benefits of Twitch Prime and Amazon Prime

When you link Amazon and Twitch to get Twitch Prime, you get a lot of free stuff, including:

  • Free in-game loot including exclusive skins, weapons, currency, and expansion packs.
  • Free game access
  • A Twitch channel subscription each month to use on partner or affiliate channels
  • Gifting in-game content to others in the Twitch community through the Gift Chest
  • Exclusive emoticons
  • Expanded chat color options
  • Prime Chat badge to add to your profile
  • Extended broadcast storage so you can save your broadcasts for 60 days instead of 14.

How to Link Twitch to Amazon Prime (Option One)

Twitch Prime is great because it’s a no-strings-attached way to get cool bonus stuff as long as you have Amazon Prime. So, if you want to take advantage, here’s how you do it:

1. Go to Twitch Prime

First, you have to go to twitchprime.com (which redirects to twitch.amazon.com) to set up an account, and assuming you’re a current Amazon Prime member, log in to Prime by signing in at the top right corner.

2. Link Twitch Account

You’ll direct to an option to confirm linking your Twitch account to your Amazon account – simply confirm.

3. Get Free Stuff

As soon as you confirm, you’ll get access to getting your in-game loot and free games with Prime. The Games and Loot will get you your free stuff, while the More From Prime is simply recommended movies from Prime Video and gear you can buy from Amazon.

Getting Twitch Prime (Option Two)

If you don’t have an Amazon Prime account, you can get a free 30-day trial to both Amazon Prime and Twitch Prime. Just follow these steps:

1. Go to Your Amazon Account

First, you’ll need to go into your Amazon account and select the Prime option.  Here, you’ll have the option of signing up for a free trial or looking at membership options. Additionally, you can explore your benefits. Once you’re a member, you can check out your benefits.

2. Explore Twitch Prime

Scroll down to Prime Membership Benefits and choose Stream. Then select Explore Twitch Prime

3. Activate Twitch Prime

Before you do anything, if you haven’t already, make sure you’re logged in to Twitch so all your information will be there. Then, after you Explore Twitch Prime, in the top right, you’ll see a bright blue button that says Activate Twitch Prime. Select that, then, if needed, change the country.

4. Link Your Twitch Account

Like in the first way to link, you’ll select Confirm, and you’ll immediately get all the benefits. There is a link to claim your free loot and use your free channel subscription so you can support your favorite streamer for free (you do have to re-subscribe again for free every 30 days).

That’s all there is to it!
