Often found for less than 30 dollars, the Logitech C270 is our pick for the best webcam for Twitch if you’re on a budget or just starting out. It provides video capture of  720 pixels at 30 frames per minute, so your viewers will still enjoy solid quality.

Razer Kiyo with Ring Light webcam for twitch

Razer Kiyo – Best Webcam for Lighting

While we’ve listed options that offer excellent quality in low lighting, any time you can improve your streaming quality by adding light is a better option. With the Razer Kiyo, you can enjoy ideal lighting at any time with a baked-in LED ring light that circles the camera. This is a great choice if you like to stream games in the dark – you can keep your room dark but your viewers and followers will still see you!

The Razer Kiyo also boasts a 720p, 60 fps capture rate and has a high color saturation which makes your stream look vivid and vibrant.  It doesn’t come with driver software, meaning you’ll have to manually readjust the color profile, which is frustrating in a more expensive webcam, but it’s ideal for a space saving option when you don’t have room for a separate light.

This webcam is a bit overpriced relative to its competitors, thanks entirely to the ring light. If you have the budget, buying a seperate light for your setup can enable you to choose a more versatile webcam.

Logitech Brio – Best Webcam on the Market

If you’re ready for a professional level webcam that allows a lot of customization, the Logitech Brio is for you. While it is one of the more expensive options, the Brio is the only webcam as of this writing that supports capturing at 4k at 30 fps. For gaming, you may prefer the 1080p 60 fps capture, but either way, your viewers will enjoy incredible visual quality.

While most streams are limited to 1080p, you can still take advantage of this webcam’s 4k resolution. The higher resolution you have to start with, the less “pixel-y” your stream will appear to viewers after it’s encoded/downscaled and sent out to Twitch.

This is definitely a niche webcam, but if you’re a streamer at the professional level whose income and viewership rely on providing a more cinematic experience, this webcam can make it happen.
